All: בְּכָל־דּוֹר וָדוֹר חַיָּב אָדָם לִרְאוֹת אֶת־עַצְמוֹ, כְּאִלּוּ הוּא יָצָא מִמִּצְרָֽיִם B’chol dor vador chayav adam lirot et-atzmo, k’ilu hu yatzav mimitzrayim. In every generation, everyone is obligated to see themselves as though they personally left Egypt.

Adult: Remember, G-d didn't just redeem our ancestors from slavery -- we were redeemed alongside them. That is why we call G-D goali, my redeemer. We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who redeemed us and our ancestors from Egypt, enabling us to reach this night and celebrate together. May we continue to reach future holidays in peace and happiness and may we be G-d's hands on earth, helping to create freedom and justice.

Child: We could be thirsty right now, as thirsty as a slave in the hot Egyptian sun making bricks for pyramids without a break, or as thirsty as refugees in borderlands, crossing the desert into the United States without enough water.  However, today, thanks to Hashem, we have water and juice and wine -- everything we could possibly need to drink.

All: Give praise to Hashem, maker of water and wine. Give thanks for the freedom to drink when we wish. Give prayers that one day all who are thirsty will have something to drink.  We are grateful for those people who speak up and act and work to oppose oppression. We ask for courage and strength to work for peace and justice in this next year.

The cups are filled for the second time.

All read in unison: BARUCH ATAH ADONAI ELOHENU MELECH HA‘OLOM BOREI P’RI HAGGAFEN.

Praised art Thou, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who hast created the fruit of the vine.

Drink the second cup of wine.

Share: One thing you will do to oppose oppression in this next year OR one thing you did to oppose oppression since last year's seder.

Leader & Assistant: Bring the basin & pitcher around so everyone can wash their hands again.

All: Baruch atah adoni, elohaynu melech ha-olam, asher kidschanu b'mitzvotav vitzvivanu al n'teelat yadayeem.

(Blessed are you, Spiring of the UNiverse, who has made us holy by your mitzvot and has consecrated the washing of hands)

All: Baruch atah Adonai, elohenu melech ha-olam hamotzi lechehm min haaretx. Baruch atah adonai, eloheynu melech ha-olam ahser kidshanu b'mitzvotav vitzivanu al ahceelat matzah. Blessed is the labor which has brought us this bread from the earth. It is a blessing to partake of this matzah.

All: Eat the Matzah!
