Leader: Happy Passover! Welcome to the Seder!

Tonight we celebrate our great-great-great-great-etc-grandparents excaping slavery in Egypt. We commemorate the bitterness of the pain they endured, the sweetness of the freedom they gained, and the perseverance it took to escape. Our tradition is to do that with a long dinner together, with bitter herbs, sweet foods, and some that take perseverence to eat. In the next hour we'll run through some traditional prayers, speeches, songs, food and drinks. If it's your first time at a seder, feel free to ask your neighbor what's up.  If it's your 50th, we still do this every year to keep compassion and gratitude alive in our minds and hearts.
