Next Year in the Land of Israel

What does it mean to say "next year in the land of Israel..." during Pesach when we finally have a State of Israel?

Yes, literally it is a blessing to be able to set foot in the land from where our culture comes from, but maybe even the Rabbis of old knew that this was not necessarily literal.

Think what Israel represents when we say this each year. It is not about going to a place, it's about achieving something after long last, not that which you are owed, but that makes you whole.

What makes you whole that you look towards in the coming year as we celebrate freedom today?

Next year,
