Song List - Passover 2021

>> All of these songs are based on the verses from the Torah and/or Tanakh. Below each title are the passages. The verses are not for us to read when singing the songs, but to show the context that the songs were written from.

The first 5 songs are the ones we are pretty sure you’ll like. We are flexible. We can stop at any number of songs you would like. The rest of the songs are other options, if wanted to fill in music while they eat, etc.

Song 1> This is the Day (guitar)

(Psalm 118:24)

This is the day (echo), that our God has made (echo)

We will rejoice (echo), and be glad in it (echo)

Oh, this is the day that our God has made

We will rejoice and be glad in it

Oh, this is the day (echo), that our God has made (all)

(arrangement: V, Ch, ending, repeat all)

Song 2> The Perfect 10

(Exodus 20; Leviticus 19,20; Deuteronomy 5)

In a cloud of fire and smoke,

A mighty voice of thunder broke,

As God descended to the mountain top

High upon Mount Sinai,

He gave the rules we should live by

As God gave out the “Shallts" and “Thou shall nots” (echo)

Number one, we've just begun, God should be first in your life

Number two's the idol rule, those graven images aren't nice

Number three, God's name should be never spoken in jest

Number four, the Sabbath’s for our worship and for rest

Number five, we all should strive to honor father and mother

Number six, don't get your kicks from killing one another

Number seven, life is heaven when you're true to your mate

Number eight, don't steal and break this rule for goodness sake

Number nine, don't be the kind who goes around telling lies

Number ten, don't covet when you see your neighbor’s house or wife

That's the list that God insists we stay away from these sins,

That is why we memorize commandments one through ten

The Perfect Ten, the Perfect Ten,

They’re just as true as they were way back when

God gave the Perfect Ten, the Perfect Ten

Let’s say them once again

God gave the Perfect Ten

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine

The Perfect Ten

(arrangement: Intro, V, Ch, V, Ch, ending)

Song 3> The Little Bird Song (author: Barbara Henry)

(Psalm 84:3; Psalm 135:7; Job 5:10; Job 38:27 & 41)

I was walking around, worrying today

And I heard a little birdie sing

Why worry about the things in this life

God will take care of you.

Don’t worry about essential things

Your God will see you through

Don’t fret about the bigger things

He really cares for you

So remember the birds,

The flowers and the trees,

Your God takes care of them

And He says we’re more precious

Than any of these

And God will take care of you

So thank you God for helping me

Through all the things in life

And thank you God for being there

You’re right by my side

Don’t worry about essential things

Your God will see you through

Don’t fret about the bigger things

He really cares for you

So next time I start worrying

I’ll remember this little bird song

That God is always watching me

He’s just waiting for me to call

(arrangement: in the order you see)
