We find ourselves here, a family on videoconference, bound together across the miles and across extraordinary circumstances.   We find ourselves each worried for ourselves, for each other, for our beloved communities.   We find ourselves, as we have together for years and years, at the pesach table.   Why come together like this - why not forget about it this year?

because more than ever we need to see each other

because more than ever we feel the weight of the past and the present colliding and we bear witness to this together

because more than ever we are a family tied together across the miles with strings of love and ribbons of compassion 

because together we are more courageous than we are apart

because together we will emerge from this challenge on the other side of this Red Sea stronger than we were before
