Nirtzah   marks the conclusion of the seder. Our bellies are full, we have had several glasses of wine, we have told stories and sung songs, and now it is time for the evening to come to a close. We end the seder with words of hope and uplift  לְשָׁנָה הַבָּאָה בִּירוּשָׁלָֽיִם  L’shana haba-ah biy’rushalayim.  “Next year in Jerusalem!”. Next year in health, with laughter, in peace, and in person. For now, we draw strenght from our rituals and traditions, from this community, and from one another. Chazak, Chazak, Venitchazeik.

We have come from near and far to raise our voice in song,
And the more we join in the re - frain, the more we feel strong.
Cha-zak, cha-zak, ve-nit cha-zeik.

There is a power in this place and time, it shapes the rest of our lives,
For when we return each year we find a truth we can’t deny.

Be strong, let us strengthen one another.
Be strong, let us celebrate our lives.
Be strong, let us strengthen one another.
Cha-zak, cha-zak, ve-nit cha-zeik.
Cha-zak, cha-zak, ve-nit cha-zeik.

As we sing we link ourselves, to those who came before,
And we’re one with all those yet to come, our strength it will endure.
