בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יי אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו וְצִוָּֽנוּ לְהַדְלִיק נֵר שֶׁל ׁ(שַׁבָּת וְשֶׁל) יוֹם טוֹב

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha'olam, asher kidshanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hadlik neir shel (shabbat v'shel) yom tov.

Blessed are You, Eternal our God, Sovereign of the universe, who sanctifies us with commandments, commanding us to kindle the lights of (Shabbat and of) the festival day.

Blessed are You, Eternal our God, Sovereign of the universe, who gives us life, sustains us, and allows us to reach this season.
