Ruth Bader Ginsberg once said, "So often in life, things that you regard as an impediment turn out to be great, good fortune."

As we partake in our seder tonight, remembering our exodus from Egypt and all we endured to scape, let us keep this quote in mind. We must recognize that our "impediments," from Egypt to the Holocaust to modern-day anti-semitism and everything in between are what have instilled within us a sense of strength, solidarity, bravery, intellect, and wisdom. Because while God led us out of Egypt with a strong and mighty hand, we led ourselves to freedom with our own strength and mightiness.

We have, and always will, prevail.
