I choose this picture for Urchatz because it means something. For Urchactz we fill a cup of water and we pour water twice on each hand so twice on the right and left. The reason why we do this is to remove all of the evil spirits that have gone to our fingertips and to feel holy after we wash our hands. Water represents the healing power of wisdom. Water flows downward, carrying its essential simplicity to each thing. It brings them together as a single living, growing whole. We pour water over our hands as an expression of wisdom pouring downward passing through our hearts and from there to our interaction with the world around us.
