During this trying time, we have been encouraged to wash out hands dry, to wipe every morsel of virus or dirt off of our own skin. We wash our hands with fervor and anxiety, almost compulsively, or obsessively. As we wash our hands today, we are not washing them of germs, but of our stresses, any harm affecting us, and of the year that has preceeded this Pesach. This is a mindful activity for us to use as a way to connect with each other, with our bodies, with our Judaism and with our souls.
