Urhcatz means "washing" or "cleansing". According to the Jewish law, we have to wash our hands before we do the Karpas, which is what Urchatz is, washing your hands. Also, it is a chance for children to ask why we wash our hands before the seder. These clips speak to me because they tell me how you wash your hands during urchatz and how it's different from when you wash your hands normally. I also feel this is a way to connect with your loved ones while passing the bowl to the next person. I feel that Urchatz is one of the most important things to during the seder, especially because hygiene was not something common during the time of slavery.
