I'm sure everyone has some sort of memory assorted with finding the afikomen, and the race to discover the magical hidden matzah. For some, the memory may be mostly categorized by the prize that came with it, but for me, it was the hunt for it. Although it was very competitive with my siblings, and sparked a few cases of jealosy, it was a family unifying activity that would stay with us for many years to come. To me, this is the true importance of this part of this seder as well as the clip to go along with it. When we search for that cloaked piece of matzah, we are doing more than just a simple competition, we are connecting and forming bonds with something much farther lasting than a piece of unleavened bread.
