The exodus story is about all the details including how we became slaves, what it was like, and how the jews got liberation. Here we discuss the story of Passover in the Torah. It talks about how the jews called out to G-d to help them. This part of the haggadah is important because it tells the story of the jews in Egypt. To understand how the jews were liberated we need to learn the backstory of the slaves. The details that lead up to deliverance are just as important as the liberation of the jews. The songs describing the exodus help put those events in order and help us remember the parts leading up to the exodus.
