Rabbi Aryeh Ben David:

A thought for the Seder: The goal of the Pesach Seder is not to enter into the story – but to have the story enter into me. The goal is not to remember the journey of the Jewish People – but to let their journey inspire my journey with the Jewish People today. The Jewish People were afraid to leave Egypt and risk wandering – what am I afraid of leaving? Am I afraid to risk and wander? How can I overcome my fear and risk once more wandering with the Jewish People? What is the most important moment in Jewish history? Not the exodus from Egypt. The most important moment of Jewish history is happening right now. Everything leads to what we are doing right now. The question is: How will this night impact my journey? How will it impact the present journey of the Jewish People?
