Plagues are horrors, and tonight we will not simply say that and let it go. Tonight, we remember what we sacrificed for our freedom.

Remember the sick.

Remember the dying.

Remember the starving.

Remember those who drowned in the sea.

Remember the slaughtering of the first-borns.

Tonight we recognize that our freedom came with a price, and we do not push that out of our history. Finally, tonight we move forward, but we do not forget, in order to better ourselves in years to come.
