Whoever last spoke asks:

Lighting two candles separates time periods: from regular days to festival days. Lighting the candles is an important part of our Passover celebration because their flickering light reminds us of the importance of keeping the fragile flame of freedom alive in the world. Will someone with candles light them and say the blessing?

A new person who has candles lights them. The new person sings:

Blessed are you, LORD our God, who has commanded us to kindle these festival lights.
