Miriam's Cup

This is a newer tradition that Susan made a part of the Seder when it was at Ann's house. In Ann's memory, we continue this tradition honoring all of the women in the family. To carry out this tradition, the cup shall be carried from woman to woman by the youngest girl old enough to walk the cup around without spilling (this is not a sippy cup).

It is said that God gave Miriam a miraculous well of water. The well came with her through the wilderness so the Jewish people could have water during their journey. Miriam's Cup helps us remember Miriam and what she and other women have done to keep the Jewish people alive.
