We uncover the plate of matzah and lift it up as we sing:

Kol dichfin yeitei v’yaichol, kol ditzrich yeitei v’yifsach. Hashta haca! L’shana haba’ah b’ara d’yisrael! Hashta avdai! L’shana haba’ah b’nai chorin!

This is the bread of affliction which our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt. Let all who are hungry come and eat with us. Let all who are in need come and share our meal. This year we are here. This year we are still slaves.
Next year may we all be free!

We put down the plate of matzah and cover it once again.
