This clip portayed a new idea that hadn't occured to me previously, and presented a thought that the Jews who escaped from Egypt forever had their past shadowing over them, and still kept the continuation of Judaism as the most important thought. When the Jews ran for their lives, they may not have realized the longer lasting effects of slavery, and how even though they may be free from the labor, their efforts could have been futile and their heritage and generations may not continue. Therefore, the bravery and courage that it took to escape from their bondage and carry on Judaism seemed almost heroic, as even though they are just remebered as slaves, each person contributed to the Jews of the world today.
