A portion of comedian Lewis Black's monologue about maror, ca 2005, broadcast in 2020 for the City Winery's annual Downtown Seder. Toward the end of this clip, Black will recite the blessing over the maror. Please dip your maror into your charoset and join:

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al achilat maror.

We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who made us holy through obligations, commanding us to eat bitter herbs.
