Spring has Sprung - and thank God. It has been a long, dark, cold, wet winter, and while we can all appreciate a little snow, I think we all share an appreciate for the sun as it slowly returns. We all enjoy seeing green come back into our lives,  and watching flowers bloom. Soon we'll have privacy at our windows, and actually feel warmth on our skin.

We like less the overpowering smell of dog poo that comes with this glorious season, but we dwell on the good!

We now will take a sprig of parsley, representing all that is good in spring, and dip it into a bowl of salt water, repreenting the bitter tears of our people in slavery. We embrace the good with the bad, and remind ourselves that spring is a time of hope, in even the darkest of periods.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, borei p’ree ha-adama.

We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who creates the fruits of the earth.
