This clip was important because it offers the seder an insight on how to turn something sad and bitter into something joyful and happy. While our slavery in Egypt was a depressing and low time for the Jews, we can also use this moment to give us hope for the future, for if our ancestors could get through slavery, we can surely get through whatever lies ahead of us. This is also a lesson that can be applied elsewhere in life, which is to make light of sad moments, and to never stop looking for the good in things.
