Welcome all.

This is a remarkable Passover. This year we experience more real than ever the Passover injuction to imagine "we were on there" in the time  and space of our ancestral Jews enslaved in Egypt. Every year we read through the plagues, our Haggadah as storybook, and we enacted the lessening of our cup with drops of wine to mark those who perished. Now a pandemic is at our doorstep and like the Jews in Egypt, we must act as one communal body to help it swiftly pass over.

While Passover is usually a time to join in community with family and friends, this year we meet in a 5th dimension of virtual space with the help of video conferencing technology like Zoom and an online Haggadah through Haggadot.com.

We will explore the Passover story to find what metaphors it may offer us. What does it mean to face a plague of "darkness", as we isolate from one another? What must we do to prevent and protect our homes and community from the plague of death and enable it ot "Pass Over" our homes? We will explore loss of personal freedom of movement and autonomy, fear and anxiety, gratitude and hope.

We hope you will connect in an authentic and deep way with each other as we create this virtual holy space.

Because ZOOM audio only enable one to speak at a time, and there is an audio delay, readings will be done sequentially by households in an order (SEDER means order!) except when the Haggadah indicates "ALL:.
