Circa 1350: The "Sarajevo Haggadah" is created in Barcelona. It is taken out of Spain by Jewish refugees after the expulsion of 1492, resurfaces in Italy in the 16th century, and is sold to Sarajevo's National Museum in 1894. During WW II, the museum's director conceals the Haggadah from the Nazis by hiding it with a Muslim family. During the Bosnian civil war, in the midst of constant bombing from Serbian forces, the Haggadah is hidden by museum employees.

Tonight it is in the Zemaljski Museum in Sarajevo.
