The Fourth Cup of Wine

This is the Cup of Hope. The Jewish people have experienced much suffering through our history.  And yet we do not despair. Even though the world is still a broken place, we are partners with God in its repair.  We raise the Cup of Hope and recite:

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יי אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הַגָפֶן.

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha’olam, borei p’ri hagafen.

Praised are you, Adonai, Ruler of the universe, who has created the fruit of the vine.

Drink the fourth and final cup of wine!
