English Kadesh

Kadesh

We bless the wine, the traditional symbol of celebration. And then we give thanks that we live at a time when, even if we cannot be in the same physical space, we can use hold our Seder in this virtual presence.

We raise our glasses together:

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, borei p’ree hagafen.

We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who creates the fruit of the vine.

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, she-hechiyanu v’key’manu v’higiyanu lazman hazeh.

We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who has kept us alive, raised us up, and brought us to this happy moment.

Drink the glass of wine!
