We celebrate tonight because...
We Jews were once Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt. But our God rescued us, as it is said in the Torah, "With a mighty hand and an outstretched arm."

But if our God had not brought our ancestors out of Egypt, Then we and our children and our children's children
might still be the slaves of the Egyptians.
Therefore, even if all of us were learned and knowledgeable,
Ripe with experience as well as wisdom, and well-versed in Torah, It would still be our duty each year,
To repeat the story of the Exodus from Egypt.
And the individual who enjoys elaborating on the story of that liberation is a person to be praised.
