Then came a cat and at the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,

Then came a dog and bit the cat that ate the kid

Then came a stick and beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,

Then came a fire and burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,

Then came the water and quenched the fire that burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,
had gadya, had gadya.

Then came an ox and drank the water that quenched the fire that burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,
had gadya, had gadya.

Then came a shote and slaughtered the ox that drank the water that quenched the fire that burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid

Then came the angel of death that killed the shote who slaughtered the ox that drank the water that quenched the fire that burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
that my father bough for two zuzim,

Then came the Holy One and killed the angel of death who killed the shote who slaughtered the ox that drank the water that quenched the fire that burnt the stick that beat the dog that bit the cat that ate the kid
