This night we eat  bitter herbs to remind us of the bitterness of slavery under Pharaoh in Egypt which the Eternal, our God, delivered us from. We also eat bitter herbs to remind us of the bitterness of slavery which African-Americans endured in this county and the continued bitterness of  racism and discrimination which African-Americans still endure; the bitterness of sexual assault and sexual violence  which too many women and members of the LGBTQ community still endure; and  the bitterness of racial violence still experienced by Jews, African-Americans, Latinos, and Muslim-Amercains.,
