And Continues...

Moses lived in the palace just like an Egyptian prince. But when he grew up he learned he was a Jew, just like the Jews who were Pharaoah’s slaves.

Moses was very unhappy to see that his people, the Jews, were being starved and tortured. He left the palace and became a leader of his people. He called upon the Jews to rise up and leave Egypt and slavery.

With Moses as their leader, the Jews rose up and won their freedom. This hard-won freedom was so wonderful compared to the misery they endured as slaves, that the Jewish people have never forgotten what it means to be free. Every year at Passover we remember our slavery and appreciate our freedom.
