Introduction

SONIA

Tonight we will celebrate Passover by retelling the story of the Exodus, of our Jewish ancestors and their journey from slavery to freedom. As we come together tonight using technology our ancestors could never have imagined, we should rest assured that we are honoring their stories and our traditions, maybe even more so than in previous years.

Some at our table observe this holiday every year (voluntarily and involuntarily), and some are experiencing it for the first time. The real Exodus story is not only a tale of divine intervention, but of the human compassion, civic and social responsibility, and heroism that we are seeing every day during this pandemic: in scientists who are risking their jobs to warn us about the virus, medical professionals risking their lives to treat it, and individuals and organizations rushing to help those most affected.

In retelling the story of Passover, we all have the ability to recommit to our values and actions for a better world.  And this year, which is truly unalike any other, we have the ability to help “flatten the curve."

All who are in need - let them come celebrate Passover with us.
