To show that we are a free people, we pour the cups of wine for each other, no one pouring his or her own cup.

We enter in sanctity to this gathering by saying a blessing over the first cup of wine.

Baruch atah adonai eloheinu melech haolam\ borei^ p’ri hagofen*.

Blessed are you HASHEM our Mighty One, Sovereign of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.

Baruch atah Adonai eloheinu melech haolam shehecheyanu v’kimanu v’higianu lazman, lazman hazeh

Blessed are you HASHEM our Mighty One, Sovereign of the universe, who as breathed life into us, sustained us and enabled us to reach this occasion.

One at a time, Pour water over each others hands.  As water is poured over your hands, share with your neighbor what you would like to let go of right now, what you would like to have "washed away" and after each person speaks, give them support by saying KEN YEHEE RATZON or SO IT IS.

Karpas
Source : santa cruz haggadah

We each pick up a piece of Karpas (vegetable) and hold it up and say:

BARUCH ATAH ADONAI ELOHEINU MELECH HAOLAM BORAY PREE HA-A-DAMA

Blessed are you, HASHEM our mighty one, sovereign of the universe, creator of the fruit of the earth.

Dip your piece of Karpas into the salt water and eat it.
